Doncaster family pay tribute to ‘lively’ and ‘outgoing’ car crash victim

The family of Ella Smith, who died following a single vehicle collision on Thursday, have today issued a moving tribute to the 11-year-old schoolgirl.

Ella sustained fatal injuries in a collision with a Citreon C3 on Watch House Lane at the junction with Broughton Avenue at around 4.35pm on Thursday.

The Bentley Kirkby Avenue Primary school pupil was taken to hospital but sadly passed away.

Her family have today released this statement: “Ella was a lively outgoing girl that everyone fell in love with.

“She loved being with her friends and was always facetiming them.

“At school Ella had lots of friends and was part of the Young Voices Choir, recently singing at the Sheffield Arena.

“Ella’s biggest love was her Grandad Tony and going to watch The Dons Rugby Team.

“She had her rugby shirt out and hung on her wardrobe ready to wear and use with her first season ticket.

“Ella had a heart of gold and always wanted to help.”
