Three arrested in Isle burglary crackdown

Humberside police officers have made a series of arrests as part of an operation aimed at tackling burglary.

As part of Operation Impact on Thursday Humberside Police made a number of arrests in relation to burglary across Humberside.

In Scunthorpe, a 42-year-old from Scunthorpe was arrested at around 4.30am on suspicion of attempted burglary. The arrest was in connection with an incident on West Common Lane, Scunthorpe on Sunday September 13. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

In Hull a boy was caught in a garage on Covent Court, Hull at around 3.40am by a member of the public. Officers attended and the boy was arrested. The 17-year-old boy from Hull was charged with a burglary. He has been released on bail to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Tuesday November 24.

In Grimsby, a 35-year-old man from Grimsby was arrested at around 7am on suspicious of burglary in connection following extensive enquiries into a burglary on Wall Street, Grimsby on June 12. He remains in police custody at this time.

Operation Impact is running throughout November to tackle burglary and the handling of stolen good across the Humberside Police Area.
