Three arrested after Doncaster taxi driver suffers severe injuries in attack

Three people have been arrested after a Doncaster taxi driver suffered severe facial injuries in a late night assault.

The driver of the taxi suffered a fractured eye socket, fractured cheek bone, a broken nose and broken teeth after being apparently assaulted by passengers he was giving a lift to.

The attack took place at 11.30pm on March 3 police on Bellis Avenue, Balby, in Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police officers believe that the taxi had been carrying four passengers at the time of the incident.

Police have arrested two men and a woman in connection with the incident.

The trio are currently on police bail.
