Skies dazzled over Doncaster Racecourse at the weekend when its fireworks spectacular got underway; coinciding with the end of the flat racing season.
Over 7,000 attended the fireworks spectacle on Saturday night after a busy day at the races that saw the Betfred November Handicap bring to a close a busy Flat season at the Town Moor track.
Heavy rain cleared in time for the event, hosted by HallamFM, which got underway at 6pm.
Entertainment during the build-up to the display included a children’s disco with games and competitions including a ‘Frozen’ sing-along.
Archie the horse, the Young Hooves Kids Club mascot was on hand to meet and greet young visitors who were invited to enter a colouring competition to win a VIP day out at the family day on March 29, 2015.
After the spectacular fireworks display, Scully & Co, a five piece band featuring some of the best young musicians in the North West, performed a live music set.

Doncaster Racecourse’s National Hunt season gets underway with the first race on November 18.
