A hard earned win secured second spot in the Yorkshire Three table, behind unbeaten champions Wetherby, for John Pearce’s men.

The home side were 15-7 ahead at half time but Thorne hit back strongly despite playing up the hill in the second half.

Winger Zak Holgate’s first half try was converted by winger Oliver Cox, and Cox also converted hooker Lee Linsdell’s 54th minute try before adding a penalty which put Thorne ahead.

They face Goole in the semi-final of the Yorkshire Silver Trophy on May 14.
