Staff at the North East Citizens Advice Bureau in Browns Lane made the appeal following the closure last year of the Doncaster Central Citizens Advice Bureau.

The CAB team wanted to reassure people that they are still open and offering their usual service despite the closure of the town centre branch.

Karen Bothamley, bureau chief officer at the North East Doncaster Citizens Advice Bureau, said: “You will know that Central Doncaster Citizens Advice closed last April - and since then we have been trying to get the message out that we are still available to help people across Doncaster.

“All Citizens Advice Bureau are independent charities, and we were therefore completely detached from, and unaffected by, Doncaster’s closure.”
