This is why this popular Doncaster KFC branch has closed its doors

The drive thru branch on Leger Retail Park opposite Sandall Park is currently closed to customers and has been fenced off.

But those craving a chicken fix needn’t worry too much – the restaurant is simply undergoing a major refurbishment and is set to re-open again in the next month or so.

The branch, one of several in Doncaster was one of the most popular in the country when it re-opened after lockdown last summer, with huge queues forming along Thorne Road as hungry diners braved lengthy waits of up to nearly two hours to get a taste of traditional Colonel Sanders favourites.

The restaurant will be closed for all drive thru and collection and delivery services until the renovation and refurbishment works are completed.
