Thieves make off with jam and chutney in Epworth
An Isle business is seeking information after a theft took place yesterday.
High Melwood Preserves reported that over 30 jars of various jams and chutneys were stolen at around 2pm on Sunday.
A spokesman said: “Today everything in our little hut has been stolen by three men, who looked to be in dark workwear with reflective strips, in a dark blue hatchback heading to Owston Ferry. “Hopefully someone knows who these people are, please. It’s not so much the money but the time and effort that goes into the jams and chutneys.
“It’s a shame because there are so many honest people it would be annoying to have to end it for everyone.”
