We have been innundated with some of your stories – here’s just some of the ways people in the town have been doing their bit.

Michael James has been crowdfunding to raise £500 to buy chocolate and snacks for ambulance staff.

He said: “I believe the reward will not be in the taste of the chocolate but the feeling of love and suport from the people they serve in this small gesture.”

Olivia and Isabelle have made wooden rainbow decorations, with help from their dad when it came to using the electric tools, which are now hanging proudly outside their house to show support for all NHS key workers, including their mum Debbie.

Doncaster’s Cre8ive Dance Academy, forced to cancel classes in person, is now offering online lesson plans, lessons and meet up chats for dancers. Check the Facebook page for details.

Emily Maxfield’s 8 year old daughter Chloe is going to be taking part in the 2.6 challenge for the Children's Air Ambulance this weekend.

She has chosen 26 activities that she plans to do on Sunday 26 April as part of a nationwide fundraiser in place of the London Marathon.

The things she will have to do are as follows.• 26 cartwheels• write a 26 sentence story• 26 minute danceathon• stick tongue out for 2.6 minutes• 26 minutes in the splits• 26 rolypolys• 26 jumping jacks (star jumps)• 26 laps round the garden• 26 minutes silence• put on 26 items of clothing in 2.6 minutes• 26 sit ups• draw 26 pictures in 2.6 minutes• name 26 animals in 2.6 minutes• water 26 plants in the garden• call 26 friends and family• name 26 food or drinks in 2.6 minutes• go 26 minutes without technology• read for 26 minutes• do 26 maths problems• 26 high kicks• raise £26 in 26 minutes• run on the spot for 2.6 minutes• go up and down stairs 26 times• jump up and down 26 times• spin round and round 26 times• brush hair 26 times

Jessica Milnthorp told us about Elliott and his big brother Oliver who have been raising money for the NHS.

They have raised £700 by cycling up and down their street 100 times dressed as superheroes.

Elliott only learnt to ride his bike without stabilisers last week. He smashed it. Oliver is 5 and Elliott 3.

She said: “I am so proud of them both.”

Youngster Ben McCarthy cheered up neighbours with a disco in his street, while Edenthorpe based band The Bowkers are staging a weekly concert on their Facebook page after the Thursday Clap For Carers event at 8pm.
