A TEENAGER had his jaw broken in three places after he refused to stop talking on his mobile phone.

The 17-year-old victim was travelling on the number 50 bus to Skellow when a man and a woman assaulted him.

He was sitting upstairs talking to a friend on his mobile when the man and woman told him to be quiet.

After he carried on talking, the man walked up to him, grabbed him and pulled him down the aisle of the bus.

He pushed him to floor, gripped him in a headlock and dragged him up to the woman - who forced her knee into his face three times.

The alleged attackers then got off near the shops on Great North Road, Woodlands.

They were believed to have been drinking alcohol.

The man is described as white, tall and of a skinny build with short, dark, spiky hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a black tank top.

The woman is described as white, approximately 5ft 5ins tall and of a skinny build with shoulder length brown hair.

Anyone who was on the bus at this time, was in the area where the man and woman got off or have any information or know the identity of the couple, are asked to call the police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
