Teenage pillion passenger thrown from bike

A TEENAGER suffered a broken leg and head injuries after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car.

The 15-year-old was a pillion passenger on an off-road bike which was travelling the wrong way along a residential road, police said.

The MaxPro black and gold bike collided with a red Citroen C2 and threw the rider, a 13-year-old boy, and the passenger from the bike.

Both boys were taken to hospital for treatment but the rider, who suffered minor cuts and bruises, was not detained.

The incident happened in Main Road, Goldthorpe, at around 10.35am on Sunday.
