Cllr Glyn Jones, Deputy Mayor of Doncaster, said: “It is in all our interests to ensure Doncaster is a thriving and ambitious town. We want the best for our communities and we want to see investment and growth which positively impacts all of us. We have been working on tackling poverty for many years but we now need everyone to help and so we invite others to join our quest to improve the lives of all people in Doncaster and to ensure that those who are at risk of, or are already experiencing poverty, are not left behind or impacted upon negatively.”

Paul Tanney, Chief Executive of St Leger Homes and Chair of the Anti Poverty Strategy Group, said: “It is great news that organisations across Doncaster are renewing their commitment to tackle the causes of poverty locally and ensure people facing poverty get the support they need. This ongoing work continues to make a great difference to those facing hardship, but it’s also key in improving future opportunities too for local families and individuals, ensuring Doncaster remains a vibrant and inclusive place to live in the years ahead. We will continue to work closely with the voluntary and faith sector, as well as our other partners, to deliver a better future for all.”
