Dearne youngsters enjoyed a tasty treat as part of a school project based around fairy tales.
Pupils at Kings Oak Primary Learning Centre in Wombwell made their own gingerbread houses after reading the Hansel and Gretel story.
They designed their sweet creations themselves and also wrote character profiles from the tale as part of the class exercise.
In the coming weeks the class will be exploring Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood.
Pictured above are Libby Bennett and Jan Ravichandran, both six, with their gingerbread house.
