The band, now a trio, will play their only Yorkshire dates at the Attercliffe venue next year on June 1 and 2.

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen - now minus Jason Orange and Robbie Williams - will perform 37 shows in eight UK cities, next April to July.

Due to extra demand, ahead of sales today, they added 13 more shows in London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

There are no plans for extra dates in Sheffield but fans, especially those who couldn’t get tickets, will be hoping promoters have a change of heart.

At the promoters request no tickets for this tour were on sale in person from venues. All sales were on line and by ticket hotline.

And more than 26,000 tickets were snapped up this morning.

Simon Bailey, Marketing Manager at Sheffield Motorpoint, said: “When you host the world’s biggest artistes you are used to regularly selling over 13,500 tickets for a show - but it still takes your breath away when you can sell two concerts out in less than two hours.

“It’s been a really busy day with Kylie concert being set up for tonight’s Kiss Me Once Tour and both Top Gear Live & Take That tours going on sale.”

Take That are are promising greatest hits and songs from forthcoming album, III, out on December 1. These Days, the first single from it, will be released on November 23.

Special guest on tour is chart-topper Ella Henderson, who recently celebrated both her debut single, Glow and her first album, Chapter One, reaching the top spot in the UK Charts.

Today Gary said of the tour: “I think we all want a big show, our dream is to always make people go ‘wow’!! That’s the goal so that’s all I’ll be hoping for.

“We’re involved in every bit of the tour, and yes we’ve been talking already about what we can do to blow our audience away but I’m not going to give anything away, you’ll have to wait and see!

Of playign arenas on this tour, he sauys it will be more intimate than their recent stadium gigs.

“Our audience have stood in fields for seven years now watching us on a stage that’s miles away, its time to give them a better view.

“The circle of studio to touring inspires each act! The best time to record an album is when you come off tour as your vocally so fit so who knows.”

Howard said: “We are 100 percent involved in which direction the tour goes. Its one of my favourite parts of the job coming up with the ideas for it!

“Being on tour is a combination of the album that we created as well as recreating past songs in a different way sometimes. Touring is hard graft but I love it and am totally in my element.”

Of Jason not being on stage with them this time around, he added: “One thing about Jason not being around now is that I’m gonna have to have breakdancing lessons!

“He’s from a similar dancing background to me too. I had massive respect for him when I first saw him when I was breakdancing at the The Apollo in Manchester. I looked up to him and his group, street machine.”

Take That, the UK’s most successful live act ever, were last on the road four years ago with their record-breaking tour Progress Live.

Rumour has been rife about when Take That would be announcing their next tour since they officially unveiled the details of the new and seventh album, III.

It will chart another poignant moment in the band’s incredible history as the first time Take That have written and recorded as a trio.

The last time Take That released an album was in 2010, when they were a five piece, including oriiginal members Jason Orange and Robbie Williams.
