Suspected child abduction attempt in Crowle

The incident happened on Godnow Road at 6.20pm as the youngster was approached by two men in a van on his way to Crowle Boxing Club.

A police spokesman said: “Humberside Police were called at 6.41pm on (Tuesday November 3) reporting an alleged attempted accosting on Godnow Road, Crowle.

“A 12-year-old boy was walking alone along the street at around 6.20pm when a small mud covered white car derived van with black handles stopped beside him. The van contained two men who allegedly asked the boy to get into the vehicle.

“The boy refused and ran off. He was not hurt in the incident.”

Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of the incident.
