Super Sports Star's success following Doncaster Superkids

The deadline for Superkids 2018 is approaching, nominate an award worthy child today.

The deadline to nominate Doncaster’s exceptional youth fast approaches, midnight September 14.

Entries close at midnight tomorrow for Doncaster Superkids awards 2018.

Math Marvel, DynamicFundraiser, Technology Whiz, Wonder Writer and Super School nominations are particularly welcome.

Presented by your Doncaster Free Press, this year’s event, once again supported by Amazon will be held in the Doncaster College on Wednesday, October 10 .

Categories for youngsters include Invincible Carer, Super Wonder Writer and Math Marvel.

Last year’s winner of the Super Sports Star was Owen Blunt, a young Taekwondo enthusiast.

His mother Collette Blunt said: “Owen winning Doncaster Super Sports Star 2017 was simply a well deserved accolade.

“He takes his sport very seriously and has continued to do so. Being the youngest ever British registered 3rd dan black belt deserved the recognition he got.”

Since the award last year he has continued to succeed in the field of Taekwondo, he has been accepted for the British Taekwondo Cadet team and receives wider training at the Great Britain National Centre in Manchester.

He continues to train in Armthorpe and will be competing at this years National championships hoping to achieve his hat trick of three times British Champion).

Recently back from a Belgium training camp he is focused and feeling confident as to what lies ahead .
