Defending Premier Division champions Canal Tavern, another side who remain on course for the double, romped to a surprisingly emphatic 8-1 win over top-four rivals Dunscroft.

Kirk Frost led the way with a hat trick and Darren Fell weighed in with a brace.

Danny Bulman, Neil Shephard and Lewis Andrew also netted.

Lowly FC Brookside (Adam Rastrick 2, Stephen Phillips, own goal) produced one of the shocks of the day when beating league leaders Real Bridge (Mark Cooper, Matthew Mears) 4-2 in an all-Division One clash.

Second Division Durban are the lowest-placed team through to the quarter-finals following their 2-1 win over Championship strugglers Team 23 – Josh Bowkett and Luke Hodder sharing the goals.

Carcroft Village, for whom Shaun Thompson, Russ Damms and Arron Batho (2) scored, completed the quarter-final line-up with a 5-3 win over The Salutation, whose consolation goals were shared by Sam Waugh, Sam Langley and Zac Bolston.

Bottom club Pit Club Miners (Davis, Bowman) built on their first Premier Division win of the season last week, after 14 successive defeats, when drawing 2-2 with FC Glasshouse (Lucas Belnavis) in one of only three top-flight league games.

James Naylor bagged a brace as Club Athletico Regent moved joint-third after beating Carpenters Arms 4-3. James Batchelor and Craig Fletcher completed the scoring.

Wheatley Hotel moved level with Stainforth following their 3-2 win over the visitors whose consolation goals were shared by Ant Ross and Leigh Emmerson.

FC Wheatley Hills posted a 6-3 win at Windmill Wanderers.
