Student tests positive for Covid-19 at Doncaster secondary school

The pupil at Campsmount Academy is now self-isolating and becomes the latest in a long line of cases at Doncaster’s schools.

Principal Elizabeth Browne said: “One student at Campsmount Academy has tested positive for COVID 19 and will be self-isolating at home in line with the government guidance, along with other members of the year group bubble who have been identified as ‘close contacts’ following discussions with Public Health England.

"All students who are isolating at home will continue to receive teaching from the academy via Campsmount Academy's remote working platforms, to ensure they do not fall behind in their learning.

"A letter has been sent home to the parents of all the academy students informing them of the situation, and those advised to isolate have also been directly contacted by the academy. The rest of the academy remains open as normal to all year groups.”
