Stride it out dressed at Santa and help North Lincolnshire hospice

It’s that time of year again to start thinking about dusting off your Santa suit and joining Lindsey Lodge Hospice for their annual festive walk.

After such a success last year raising £3,800, people of North Lincolnshire are invited once again to join Santa Stride, a family walk around Central Park on Saturday, December 12.

This year’s event will be even bigger and better and the hospice needs your help to raise as much money as possible. Lindsey Lodge costs over £4.50 every minute to provide a high quality service caring for people with life-limiting illnesses in your area.

Andrew Hirst, corporate fundraiser, said: “The first 150 entrants receive a free Santa suit however we only have about 50 left, so don’t forget to book early in order to avoid disappointment.

“It’s a great way to get into the festive spirit and spend time as a family, as well as raising money for the hospice at the same time. Last year we had over 130 people participating- but this year we’re aiming for over 300 people to dress up as the jolly red man.

“The hospice would really appreciate every person’s attendance as every single penny raised is valued in order to make every moment special for patients and loved ones.”

The event starts at New Life Church on Brumby Wood Lane, Scunthorpe, at 10am on Saturday, December 12.

You can register online at Register online collect a form from the hospice or by calling 01724 843731. It is £10 for adults, £5 for 11-16 year olds
