States dates for The Crookes

Cult Sheffield quartet The Crookes have just announced a US tour on the back of an '˜amazing summer' of playing festivals.

The foursome of singer George Waite, guitarists Alex Saunders and Daniel Hopewell and new drummer Adam Crofts, have announced a string of dates across the United States – and say they cannot wait to see their American fans again.

In a message to their American fans, the band said: “We’ve had an amazing summer so far playing festivals and have just confirmed a tour of America beginning in September. It goes without saying that we can’t wait to be back. We look forward to seeing you all again.

We always like to keep these thing short, but just want to say a massive thank you to every one who turned up over the summer to see us play.

“We’ve had an incredible 2016 so far and if the rest of the year is half as good we’ve got a lot to look forward to.”

The band have also announced that up-and-coming film-maker Bertie Gilbert is to direct their latest music video.

They said: “Exciting news for you lovely people. We’re happy to announce the very talented film-maker Bertie Gilbert will be directing our video for Roman Candle.”
