South Yorkshire Police issue warning over vehicle thefts during icy weather
Motorists are being warned not to leave their vehicles unattended while defrosting them during the cold snap this week.
Opportunist thieves have stolen vehicles left with their keys in the ignition during previous spells of icy weather.
A police spokesman said: “Take care on the roads and don’t leave your keys in the ignition and car unattended when de-icing.”
