Flower fans will have their last chance to catch a glimpse of an annual floral spectacular this weekend.
The 2015 Hodsock Priory snowdrops event will draw to a close on Sunday, marking 250 years of the Buchanan family at the visitor attraction near Blyth.
Current owner George Buchanan is celebrating the family’s arrival in 1765 with a wide variety of events including the planting of a Buchanan lawn.
The marquee tea room, gift shop and plant sale will be open at the side of the 16th century Gatehouse with direct access into the woodland. The outdoor cafe and picnic area and Horsepasture Wood campfire are also in operation and George will tell visitors about Hodsock’s past. Hodsock Priory will be open daily from 10am – 4pm. Entrance prices are £5 for adults, children six-16 are while children under six go free.
