SLIDESHOW: Turbofest

Turbofest 2015 took place at Smaque Farm in Crowle, thanks to owner Jacqui Welch, and this was the second year of the music festival, organised by Epworth Town Tennis Club.

In addition to music there was also a yoga class taken by Sara Mitchell, children and adults sports led by Teresa Webster-Henwood and even human table football.

The crowd also celebrated the 80th birthday of Councillor Jean Bromby of the Bottesford Ward by singing her happy birthday.

This year’s nominated charity was Lindsey Lodge Hospice in Scunthorpe and, after event expenses are covered, it is anticipated that around £1,000 will have been raised on the day.

Organiser Damian Mitchell said: “The purpose of the event was to have fun, involve the local community, showcase local talent and raise some money at the same time.

“The organising committee would like to thank all the bands and artists who contributed this year.

“It was a truly memorable day and the talent on show was exceptional.”

Those who took part were Emily Young, Holly Howard, Jealous (Joe Orme and Ella Hudspeth), Matthew West, Charlie Hunt, Mary Kingsnorth, Joanne Dorey, Blue Rooster, Agent La La, Stairway, Box Pavilion, The 5ths, Ramble Gamble and The Torn.

Damian added: “The organising committee would also like to thank all those who attended, as they made a truly fantastic crowd!

“All the artists fed off the energy and we hope to see everyone back next year.”
