Sir Cliff Richard surprised diners when he visited at a popular Indian restaurant in Barnsley.
The legendary singer visited Elachi, in Hoyland, with two dining companions.
After enjoying a mixed starter with his friends, he ordered a medium-strength mixed curry.
Owner Shahoor Ali said the star chatted with fellow diners and promised to visit again.
He said: “He came in with two others. He said he had been in Chapeltown on private business.
“He came in all of a sudden and we were really busy, but a table soon became available.
“It was a bit of a surprise. I didn’t want to hassle him too much. Once he had finished the whole restaurant just seemed to surround him and he was chatting to them.
“He said a couple of people recommended us to him and said we’d won some awards.
“He was really pleased with the meal and he said he would be back.”
