Generous Doncaster shoppers have helped raise £5,000 to fund the training of this cute little guide dog named Buddy.

Staff at the Lakeside Village Shopping Outlet organised a variety of events to fund the training of the six-week-old pooch who they have named Buddy.

Over the next 12 months, Lakeside Village will hear what little Buddy has been up to as they receive a puppy birth certificate, personalised updates on his training and a final photo as he leaves his puppy walker to go to training school.

Cheryl Sadler, Lakeside Village centre manager, said: “Our work with The Guide Dogs for the Blind is incredibly important to us. Buddy is the fourth dog we have helped to raise funds for. I would like to thank our customers and stores for their extremely generous support. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming him into the centre and charting his progress.”
