A schoolgirl is through to the finals of a national competition to
find the Face of the Globe.
Eleven year old Georgia Concert of Sheffield got through regional
heats of the contest to make the final five in London, and gained two
further titles along the way, of Miss Publicity and Miss Charity.
The Firth Park Academy pupil is fundraising for the Rainbow Child
Foundation. She is also seeking a personal sponsor to help her bid towards a
trip to Disneyland, Paris, where the competition grand finals will take place next
Georgia, who hopes to work as a model and actress in the future, said:
“I have gained lots of confidence on stage and made loads of friends.
I would like to help raise money for other charities as well as the
Rainbow Child Foundation.”
The youngster has held a variety of events so far to raise cash for her charity.
Mum Joanne Slim said: “ Georgia is a lovely young lady who is very
kind and always wanting to help others in any way she can.
“She also works really hard at school and I am very proud of her.”
The Rainbow Child Foundation is supported by Face of the Globe, and
donates all profits to children worldwide by providing orphanages,
and equipment such as water pumps, and sanitation units.
