Sheffield Muslims join hands to keep Britain tidy

Young Muslims from Sheffield joined members of the local community to help keep Britain's streets and parks clean.

Youth from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) Sheffield chapter, took part in the initiative for the GB Spring Clean campaign being run by Keep Britain Tidy.The initiative to work along with Keep Britain Tidy is one of many charitable and community initiatives carried out by the AMYA across the spring. The group are also organising blood donation sessions, charity collections, Children’s hospital and Nursing home visits, and homeless feeding sessions.

Saeed Ahmad Nazir, Youth Leader for Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Sheffield said: “Our members have enjoyed living in Sheffield for many, many years and so any opportunity to help our local Community is much welcome.

“Cleaning the streets of Sheffield also presents us with an opportunity to become better Muslims as Cleanliness is an integral part of our faith. We are peace loving British Muslims and will continue to do all we can to serve our local community as best we can and wherever there is a need.”
