Several flood-ridden roads expected to re-open

A NUMBER of flood-hit roads are expected to re-open today, however motorists are still being urged to drive with caution in the borough.

Severe rainfall over the weekend forced closures of bridges and roads across the borough wreaking traffic havoc.

Low Lane in Kirk Bramwith has now been re-opened after flooding shut off the roads between Bramwith Lane and Willow Bridge Lane.

Water Lane in Stainforth is also now clear and has been re-opened.

Fordstead Lane in Barnby Dun remains closed but is expected to be clear by 3.30pm.

Nursery Lane in Sprotbrough, and Scotch Spring Lane in Stainton, should re-open by 2.30pm.

Thorpe Bank in Barnby Dun, and Wilsic Lane in Tickhill, are expected to re-open by 2pm.
