Police are appealing for witnesses after two people were injured, one seriously, in a road traffic collision in Wentworth.
The incident happened just before 6.30am on Wednesday, July 3, when a silver Ford Focus was travelling on Cortworth Lane towards Hoober and was in collision with a Skoda Fabia travelling in the opposite direction towards Wentworth.
Police said it appears the Focus driver lost control of the vehicle on a right-hand bend and crossed onto the oncoming carriageway into the path of the Skoda.
The Focus driver, a 28-year-old man, sustained a possible broken right leg. He was taken to Rotherham General Hospital and detained for treatment. The Fabia driver, a 31-year-old Maltby man, received treatment for whiplash at Barnsley District General Hospital.
The incident happened 500 yards the Angel Lane side of the junction with Coaley Lane.
