Pupils at a second Doncaster primary school have been sent home to self-isloate after a positive Covid-19 test in one of its class bubbles.

Youngsters at Rossington St Michael’s CE Primary School were sent home after a positive case in the Year 6 bubble.

In a letter, executive headteacher Alison Adair and school head Phillipa Cousins, said: “We have been advised by Public Health England there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school.

“We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and work closely with Public Health England.

"The children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 14 days.

"The school remains open and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.”

Earlier today, pupils from Hatchell Wood Primary in Bessacarr were also sent home after a positive Covid-19 case.
