Fire has broken out for the second time this week at an Epworth riding and livery stables.
Fire crews have raced again to battle a blaze from a muck heap at Skyers Farm Riding School on Wroot Road, after first visiting the scene on Tuesday evening.
A seven-year old boy spotted the warning flames on Tuesday, before the 15-ton straw heap ignited. It took almost five hours for fire crews to quell the fire totally.
A spokesman at the stables today said: “The muck heap has gone up again and the fire services are trying to deal with it.”
Stables owner Gemma Oliver, 27, said earlier that it was thought the muck heap ignited itself on Tuesday, after heat built up within the pile. Horses were kept well away but she was worried about the fire spreading to adjacent woods and via overhead cables.
