Scooter driver hurt in car crash

A SCOOTER driver was taken to hospital with neck and back injures after being involved in a collision with a car.

The crash happened along Carr House Road at the junction with Stockhill Road in Balby, which involved a silver Peugeot and a silver Piaggio scooter.

A spokesman for the police said the injuries to the scooter driver were not “life-threatening or life-altering”.

She added that Carr House Road was closed off for several hours following the crash which happened around 5pm on Saturday.

No further details have been released about the scooter driver or the Peugeot motorist.
