A DONCASTER road safety campaigner has been rubbing shoulders with royalty after collecting her MBE from the Queen.
Nikki Webber, 30, who was left disabled after she was knocked down by a car in Bawtry 20 years ago, collected the prestigious medal at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
Nikki received the accolade for her voluntary services to road safety.
Since the age of 13, Nikki, of Bircotes, has been working with the police giving talks to children about the importance of road safety. Nikki said: “I enjoy doing the presentations and it’s my way of giving something back.”
