Residents wanted for top challenge

RESIDENTS in the Dearne are being asked to take the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for a children’s charity.

Members of the public are required to hike up Africa’s highest peak from June 20 to June 29 2013 to raise money for Children Today, which supports disabled children in the UK.

Those taking part will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views and challenging hikes to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Ceri Ward, fundraiser for Children Today, said: “On this event everyday is a fresh challenge but it is extremely rewarding knowing that the sponsorship monies you have raised will change a disabled child’s life forever.”

Anyone interested in taking part should contact Ceri on 01244 335622 or email for an information pack.
