Police and maintenance workers were called to the offices, which the Free Press moved into just over two years ago.

During the disruption, staff were not able to answer telephone calls, emails or public callers to the office. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Journalists and advertising staff worked remotely while a locksmith was called to carry out repairs to the door.
