Quibell Park is home to athletics, cycling and cross country clubs and it will be used on a regular basis to hold community sporting events, as well as hosting school sports events.

Coun Redfern, leader of North Lincolnshire Council said: “Quibell Park has been given a much-needed facelift that will make a huge difference for the community groups that use it. Work started on renovating Quibell Park in February 2014 and finished in March 2015.

“We have been investing in our leisure services across North Lincolnshire to bring them up-to-date and ensure that we provide the best possible facilities. Quibell Park is often at the heart of many sporting events so it is important that it is fit for purpose. It is great to see it brought back to life and I’m sure the athletics club and cycling club will be taking full advantage of the brand new facilities.”

The main contractor of the work was Gelders Construction.
