Potentially lethal drugs taken during clinic raid

A QUANTITY of potentially lethal adrenalin has been stolen during a break-in at a clinic.

Police are warning residents to be vigilant following the theft.

The burglary happened sometime between Friday and Monday at the clinic in Chestnut Avenue, Carcroft.

As well as the adrenalin, a number of Dell laptop computers were also stolen from the clinic.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “As with all drugs the adrenalin should only be used by the person it is prescribed to. If the adrenalin is taken incorrectly, it could prove fatal.”

The raid comes after a batch of anaesthetic was stolen from dental surgery in Main Street, Mexborough, some time between April 21 and April 26.

Anybody with information about either of the burglaries should contact South Yorkshire Police on 0114 220 2020 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
