Garage owner Mark Chadwick, who is behind the Save DSA campaign, issued an update as an announcement of an airport operator from City of Doncaster Council is awaited.

Hide AdThe authority has already signed a 125-year lease with airport owners Peel – and the council is in talks with potential operators, with an announcement due to be made in the coming weeks.
He has urged people to sign a petition calling for the airport’s airspace to be reinstated and said that the process of selecting the new operator is going through due dilligence.
He said: “While the majority of members are being patient and playing the waiting game, can those with doubts please read.
“What are we waiting for? Due dilligence.

“This petition alone will not get our airspace reinstated, however working together along with City of Doncaster Council, the region’s Chambers of Commerce, the local business community, MPs, Transport for the North and business institutions we can make a difference
“Mayor Ros Jones has said its imperative that we sign the petition.
“All of the above are working together, lobbying Government, the Department for Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority to get our airspace reinstated.”
