Rosehill Crematorium has reopened following a change in the law, so people can visit to pay their respects to a family or friend, provided they observe social distancing at all times.

The changes do not affect the existing arrangements for the crematorium itself, which must remain closed other than for funerals.

The parkland around Cusworth Hall has also reopened for pedestrians and cyclists, but the main hall, car park and playground remains closed to the public.

All of Doncaster’s parks are open, but any play equipment, multi-use game areas and the sports courts across the borough continue to be closed.

A council spokesman said: “Families can once again visit cemeteries to pay their respects and lay flowers to their loved ones.”
