Boris Johnson in flying visit to Doncaster as he jets out from airport on campaign trail

Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a flying visit to Doncaster this morning – taking off from the town’s airport in the final days of the General Election campaign trail

The PM’s private jet took off from Doncaster Sheffield Airport earlier today after he had earlier visited a fish market in Grimsby.

The Prime Minister was en route to the north east where he is targeting Labour supporting areas that voted Leave ahead of Thursday’s election.

It is Mr Johnson’s third visit to Doncaster in a matter of months.

He carried out a whistle stop tour of Doncaster Market earlier this year and returned during the recent floods where he met volunteers as part of the clean-up operation in Stainforth.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, the Liberal Democrats’ Jo Swinson and Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage have all also visited Doncaster on the campaign trail.
