Police launch appeal to find Doncaster bike thief

Transport police have launched a CCTV appeal to find a man who is believed to have stolen a bicycle from a Doncaster train station.

The bike was stolen from Doncaster station at around 2.45pm on Wednesday, February 3.

British Transport Police (BTP) have today released these CCTV images in a bid to trace a man who they believe will have information about the incident.

Investigating officer PC Darren Tissiman said: “A man walked over to the cycle racks at the stationand approached a Silver Boardman cycle that was secured with two cycle locks. The man spent a few minutes in the area seemingly checking his laptop before removing the locks and taking the bike, which is worth around £500."

Anyone with information on the incident or on the man pictured is asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 quoting reference PSUB/352 of 08/02/2016. Alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
