He is believed to have been wearing a dark blue, anorak style coat with the hood up and dark trousers.

The following day a woman walking towards the payment station in the same car park was approached by a man who tried to take her purse.

After a brief struggle, the man left the car park with the purse but was chased by a passer-by.

The thief pointed a knife at his pursuer before dropping the purse.

He was wearing a dark raincoat with the hood up.

Both victims sustained minor injuries as a result of the incidents.

“I would like to reassure members of the public that we are actively pursuing all lines of enquiry and we are committed to identifying those responsible for these crimes. I would ask anyone with any information to report it to us.

“Did you see anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incidents? Do you know who the men could be?”
