Police, fire and ambulance crews deal with major incident on Doncaster road

Police, fire and ambulance crews spent last night dealing with a major incident on a key Doncaster route.

Emergency services were called out to Broomhouse Lane in Balby following reports of a road traffic incident.

It is understood the road was sealed off at around 10pm.

Eyewitnesses have spoken of a car crashing into a lamp-post near to the junction with Galsworthy Close.

Video footage taken near to the scene shows a number of damaged vehicles, with debris strewn across the carriageway.

A number of emergency vehicles can also be seen in the clip, including police and ambulance crews, with a large cordon in place around the scene of the incident.

Residents also reported seeing armed police and up to ten police cars, two ambulances and fire engines at the scene.
