Police continue appeal for witnesses after woman suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision in South Yorkshire

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision in Doncaster town centre which left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

The collision is reported to have happened at 7.45pm, on Thursday, March 12, between a 40-year-old woman and a black Audi A3 as the woman walked across a pedestrian crossing on Trafford Way, Doncaster, at the bottom of a pedestrianised area of Frenchgate.

Police said the woman subsequently fell into the path of a silver Mercedes A-Class and she was taken to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.

Officers are now asking for anybody who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage to get in touch.

Police are also interested in hearing from anybody who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision.
