Police at the scene of Doncaster town centre accident

Traffic is building on some of the town's busiest roads and buses are running late because of an accident.

Police have closed a stretch of the A630 following an accident there this morning.

One lane is closed traffic is very slow on A19 York Road at St Mary’s Roundabout because of an accident.

The incident is causing congestion on A630 Church Way to the Brooke Street junction, also the A630 Trafford Way to the North Bridge Road junction and on A638 York Road to the Newcomen Road junction.

A spokesman for First buses said: “Services operating on north side of town are running late due to accident on Marsh Gate.”

South Yorkshire Police are on the scene, but no comment is available from the force.
