ROSS ETHERIDGE 4

A nightmare return to the team. Dropped a cross for the first goal and his error for the equaliser was even worse.

NIALL MASON 6

Another competent, athletic display at right back. Looks much more comfortable there than in a three.

MATHIEU BAUDRY 6

Read the game well and showed some composed touches when in possession.

ANDY BUTLER 6

Defended impressively throughout and kept a very close eye on powerhouse substitute Akinfenwa in the second half.

CEDRIC EVINA 6

Somewhat surprisingly kept his place in the team - and rewarded his manager with a decent display.

JORDAN HOUGHTON 6

Confident and calm performance in the holding role. Laid on an excellent chance for Coppinger after the break.

MATTY BLAIR 6

Good through-ball for Coppinger led to the opening goal. Tried hard, as always, but not a lot came off for him.

RICCARDO CALDER 5

Could not fault his effort but the Aston Villa loan man is struggling to really make an impact in games.

TOMMY ROWE 8

Looked back to his best in a more central position before being forced off through injury.

JAMES COPPINGER 6

Laid Rowe’s goal on a plate for him and offered energy and creativity - but also missed two glorious chances.

JOHN MARQUIS 7

Another typically workmanlike display from the striker, topped off by a lovely goal.
