Doncaster families have been enjoying fun in the sun - but storms and flash flooding could arrive today.

Destiny Lowther, six, Jack Lowther, five, Sharon Mcilvaney, and Laura Marsh made the most of the weather by getting out and about in Town Fields, as our pictures show.

But the hot weather yesterday also caused problems with the railways, with many trains cancelled at Doncaster station, and others running well over an hour late because of the heat.

Today’s weather is forecast to peak at 26C this evening.

But the met office is warning of thunder storms later.
