England fans celebrate in Walkabout in 2002.

Back then, the place to watch big games was Australian themed pub Walkabout - and these photos from 16 years ago show the riotous scenes that unfolded during Engalnd's participation in that year's tournament.

Back in 2002, football supporters had to contend with some weird and wonderful kick-off times as Japan and South Korea hosted the game's biggest showpiece competition, with many fans swapping cornflakes and coffee for pints of beer with many games kicking off at breakfast time.

There was a party atmosphere in the pub.

It was the year that England saw off Argentina in the group stages - coupled with draws against Nigeria and Sweden - and progressing to the last 16 where they met Denmark.

A 3-0 win over Denmark set up a mouthwatering quarter final clash with Brazil - but that's where the dream ended, the Three Lions going out to a 2-1 defeat.

Of course, Walkabout is no longer with us, the Priory Walk pub closing down several years ago.

See if you can spot yourself in these pictures!
