PICTURE: E-fit released of suspect who stole money from elderly Doncaster woman in her own home
Police have released an e-fit picture of a man who stole money from an elderly woman in her own home in Doncaster.
The incident happened when a man knocked on the pensioner's door in Church Balk Gardens in Edenthorpe on Tuesday, February 21, at 5.45pm.
A police spokesperson said the caller claimed he had "chased away youths causing damage to the property" and after gaining entry "he is alleged to have stolen money from the elderly occupant before fleeing when she became suspicious and called police.
"Do you recognise this man? Were you in the area at the time? Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident number 870 of 21 February."
