Person in hospital as air ambulance called in after incident at Doncaster factory
A person was taken to hospital after the air ambulance was called in to deal with an incident at a Doncaster factory.
Paramedic crews were dispatched to premises in the Shaw Lane area of Doncaster on Monday night.
However, the injured person was transported to hospital by a land ambulance rather than by air.
A spokesman for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance said: “We received an emergency call just before 6.15pm to reports of an incident at industrial premises in the Wheatley area of Doncaster.
"An ambulance, clinical supervisor and the air ambulance were dispatched to the scene and one patient was taken by land ambulance to hospital.”
No details have been released of the exact location of the factory or the person’s injuries.
Eyewitnesses in the Clay Lane area reported seeing the air ambulance hovering over the Shaw Lane industrial estate area, just off Thorne Road and alongside Sandall Park.
